Information we collect
When you create an account, we receive sign-in information such as your email address and authentication provider. We also collect information you choose to add to your profile and content you submit, such as projects, tasks, teams, and forum activity. Technical information, including device, browser, and usage data, may be collected when you use the site.
How we use information
We use this information to create and secure accounts, show profiles and contributions, help members discover and collaborate with each other, operate the forum, understand how the site is used, and maintain and improve the service.
What others can see
Information you share in public areas may be visible to other people. Review your profile and the visibility options offered when posting before sharing personal or confidential details. Other members may independently save or share information they can see.
Service providers
BuildTogether uses Firebase services for authentication, data storage, and site functions, and Google Analytics for usage measurement where supported. These services may process technical and account information to provide their features. You can read more in Firebase’s privacy information.
Keeping and protecting data
We keep information while it is needed to provide the service, manage accounts, address abuse, and meet applicable obligations. We use access controls and service provider safeguards to protect information, though no online service can guarantee complete security.
Your choices
You can edit information in your profile and choose what you share publicly. Depending on where you live, you may have rights to request access to, correction of, or deletion of your personal information. See our terms and conditions for the rules that apply when using the site.

We may update this policy as the service changes. The date above shows when it was last revised.
